In a system with multiple sinks, the default sink may not always be the once currently being used. It is more useful to control the currently active sink rather than an unused one. Installation
Waybar is available from a number of Linux distributions:
An Ubuntu PPA with more recent versions is available here.
Building from source
$ git clone https://github.com/Alexays/Waybar
$ cd Waybar
$ meson build
$ ninja -C build
$ ./build/waybar
# If you want to install it
$ ninja -C build install
$ waybar
